THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE

Tralodren is about the size of Earth, with more water than land covering its surface. The land it does have is a collection of islands and smaller continents/landmasses that were formed, in part, by the breakup of a larger supercontinent nearly 7,000 years ago. This same event also ringed the plant's equator with a formidable barrier called the Boiling Sea, that's kept the Northern and Southern Hemispheres from interacting with each other ever since.

The Northern Hemisphere is divided into five sections, each being more or less self concerned and focued within their own region, which have devleoped thier own unique histories, trade networks, and civilzations over the millenia. These divisions are as follows: the Midlands, the Northlands, the Southern Lands, the Western Lands, and the Scattered Lands.

Many of these lands within these parts of the Northern Hemiphsere have also become known by other names and/or titles other than their proper ones. These often have a historicial connection or even desired impression the originator of the name wished to convey are included in the following entires.

THE MIDLANDS

The Midlands are the landmasses that dominate the space between the Northlands and the Southern Lands, and hosting perhaps some of the most populated area on all of the Northern Hemisphere. It is also the place where Telborians and Elyellium have the greatest concentration.

The landmasses comprising this area are as follows:

Arid Land
"Land of the Sacred Wood/The Wild Lands"

Colloni

"Home of the Elven Republic"

Draladon

"The Dry Wastes/The Desert Isle”

Talatheal
"Island of the Masses"

midlands

THE NORTHLANDS

The Northlands are a collection of four landmasses on the northern most point of Tralodren before it crosses over into the Crown of the World. It is primarily dominated by Nordicans and giants and known for its colder weather and harsh beauty.

The four lands comprising the region are as follows:

Baltan
"The Frosty Port"

Frigia

"Home of the Jotun/Jotun Home"

Troll Island

"Troll Island"

Valkoria
"Jewel of the North/Norri's Land"

the northlands

THE SOUTHERN LANDS

Known for their spice and precious metal trade, these lands are engulfed in a more tropical climate which grows warmer and more humid the further south one goes.

The lands are about equally shared with Celetors, Telborians, Elyellium, dwarves, and a majority of monstrous races and giants. Such populations tend to be less organized and more corrupt with frequent pirate raids and lawless bands roving land and sea due to the rich trade routes going out into all corners of the world.

The lands found here are three:

Antora
"Doom Maker's Island"

Belda-thal

"The Divided/Contested Lands/Continent”

Menessa
"Isle of the Minotaur"

the southern lands

THE WESTERN LANDS

Far across the Yoan Ocean these lands are shrouded in mystery and mysticism. Indeed, few have traveled across the east/west divide save merchants and bold sailors. The lands of this area are almost detached into another world unto themselves and dominated by Napowese, Patrious, gnomes, halflings, and a splattering of dwarves.

The largest known continent in the Northern Hemisphere lies here, as does the richest nation in the world. These distant lands have many legends, which carry their grandeur beyond reality as the tales cross Tralodren's oceans and seas.

The lands comprising this area are:

Black Isle
"Black Isle"

Breanna
"The Bastion of Democracy/Land of the Gnomes"

Caradina
"The Golden Isle"

Irondale
"The Grand Forge/The Iron Isle"

Napow
"The Peaceful Garden"

Rexatoius
"The Mystic Isle/Home of the Patrious"

THE SCATTERED LANDS

Unlike the rest of the lands of Tralodren the Scattered Lands are not that well defined or even known by those outside them. This is because they're made up of two main island groups based in two out of the way places in the Northern Hemisphere. They're also known not to have a very hospitable population.

The Pearl Islands are host to giants and other monstrous races while the Wizard King Islands are often thought haunted by the efforts and creations of their former inhabitants.

THE BOILING SEA

This body of water divides the two hemispheres by steaming, seething waves generated by a great rift that encircles the world. Magma and heat keep the waves churning and serve as a natural barrier to any who seek to travel through these often turbulent waters.

The crown of the world

THE CROWN OF THE WORLD

The most northern tip of Tralodren, which "crowns" the planet before moving into the other side of the world. None know what truly lurks there, though those who braved a short venture into just the boundary of its territory all attest to its deep cold and silent waves.

The Great Ocean

THE GREAT OCEAN

The largest ocean on Tralodren, it's thought to wrap around the eastern section of the globe and then back to the west, creating a large body of open water on the opposite side of the planet in the process.
